TCS and SBI partnered to create an Alibaba-like ecommerce platform for Indian MSMEs.

The platform aimed to empower small businesses with online selling tools and a user-friendly interface.

Challenge

  • Catering to a diverse target audience: MSMEs owners with varying levels of education, digital literacy, and locations across India.

  • Simplifying complex e-commerce functionalities for easy adoption.

Solution

  • Iterative design process: Multiple rounds of wireframing, prototyping, and testing with MSMEs to ensure an intuitive and accessible interface.

  • Focus on visual storytelling: Clear icons, minimal text, and localized language support for ease of navigation.

My role

  • Led the UI/UX design team, collaborating with TCS and EY India to understand client vision and user needs.

  • Conceptualized the overall user journey, designing wireframes and prototypes for testing.

  • Conducted user research sessions and incorporated feedback to refine the design.
